Since 2008 we have had +441326317575 as Falmouth Emergency phone number on our EPIRB and next to our satellite phone. We are crossing the Pacific this year and decided to check all our safety gear and contacts. We called the above number and it was answered very quickly, but on asking ‘is this the correct emergency number’, we were advised it’s a 24h enquiry number, although it’s not classed as an emergency number. They did advise it is on older information lists and older EPIRB stickers.
The Emergency Number we should call is +44 344 382 0025.
This number is at the top of their listings and will be answered quickly.
There may have been a notice about this and we missed it and they still answer the first number. But worth a check, we do like to know someone can help if needed.
